Aloo Chana Chaat Recipe
Ingredients:-

- 1 ½ cups
Chick peas /Kabuli Channa (canned is fine)-(Soaked overnight and boiled)
- 2 medium
boiled potatoes, dice
- 2 medium boiled tomatoes, diced
- 3
shallots/ Onions, chopped finely
- ½ cup
tamarind soak in 1 cup warm water (after 10 min strain and separate seeds)
- ½
teaspoons chaat masala
- ½
teaspoon mild red chili powder
- 1 ½
teaspoons chaat masala
- 3 green chilies,
finely chopped
- 2
tablespoons fresh cilantro/coriander leaves, finely chopped
Directions:-
1. Rinse and drain the garbanzo beans; place in a bowl.
2. Boil water in a pan, add the diced potatoes and cook
until they are soft and tender.
3. Remove potatoes, drain and set aside to cool.
4. In a mixing bowl, mix the tamarind paste, the chili
powder, chaat masala and salt; mix well.
5. Pour the tamarind mixture on the Chickpea and add the
tomatoes, potatoes, chopped onions, green chilies and the
coriander/cilantro.
6. Mix well and adjust salt to taste.
7. Garnish ideas: a slit green chili or a slice a tomato or
a slice of lime with a sprig of mint leaves.
