Gurr Walay Chawal ! Jaggery Rice Recipe


Gur (Jaggery) Rice is a Punjabi (Pakistani) Recipe.I am sharing this traditional recipe with everyone.This Orangish  amber colored rice recipe is a sweet dish which is taken plain and taste nice if  little warmed before eating.. 



Ingredients :-⇓⇓

Gurr                    500g (2 ½ Cups approx..)
Rice                    3 cups
Green illaichi      2
Soonf                  1/2 tsp
Oil                      1 tb sp
Raisans/
coconut/kaju      for garnish


Method:-⇊⇊
  1. Gurr sheera :Melt Gurr in 3 cups of water,
  2. Soak rice in water for 20 min
  3. Boil 4 cups of water in a pan ,add oil ,illaichi in it.
  4. When started boiling add just rice.
  5. When u see rice become a bit soft and water just dries,add gurr sheera.
  6. Add gurr sheera slowly in portions n cook on high flame.
  7. Sprinkle soonf at end for very nice tempting smell.
  8. My rice went just perfect in taste n these sheera rice come out a bit sticky so dont worry to see!
  9. Garnish with some kaju,raisan or coconut😊
